Step 2: Workshops
The results of the Community Views surveys and conversations have given many threads, which when stitched together can create a Community Plan setting out our aspirations for the next decade.
Before we get to that stitching, there are some big challenges the community will face in the next decade that need to be considered. These challenges will form the agenda for November’s Community Plan workshops.

The challenges on the agenda:
Community Action
- Supporting volunteering for community action
Development
- What can be done with old Kilmadock church
- Future housing needs
Energy
- How our energy sources are decarbonised
Future Deanston
- What to do now Deanston Shop has closed
- Improving playparks and greenspaces
- Ideas for Community Centre activities
Parking in Doune
- Solving parking issues in the village
Public Transport
- How we get a bus connection to Dunblane
Roads

Walking & Cycling

- Priority for path improvements
These are not all the challenges we’ll face over the next decade, or everything that will be included in the new community plan. However, finding consensus on as many of these as possible puts us in a stronger position to deliver action.
Results from the workshops, and online feedback form, were used to inform a draft version of the plan.
