Indoor Groups

Indoor Groups in Doune and Deanston

There are usually many indoor groups and activities in the area.  Some are closed due to Covid, but some have re-opened and there are even a few new ones, so keep an eye on this page.

If you have organised something in the Kilmadock area that is not shown on the Clubs and Groups pages – even via Zoom – please contact us and we will add your details.

Hall lets (subject to availability and of course Covid restrictions) in:

Western Sunset Linedance Classes – held at Doune Castle Bowling Club, on Tuesdays at 7.30 – 9.30 pm.

Everyone welcome; beginners, intermediate, experts!!!   £5 a session.

Zumba – Rural Hall – Tuesdays 18.45 – 19.30  **  (booking required)

Monument Dance Classes – in the Rural Hall, on Saturdays at 09.15 – 11.15 am.

Young at Heart – Golden Girls Dance Fitness Class (over 50’s) – in the Rural Hall, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9.45 – 10.50 am. **

Iyengar Style Yoga – Suitable for beginners and intermediates.  In Deanston Community Centre, on Wednesdays at 19.30-21.00

Cost £7 (£6 concessions) – drop in, no need to book

Roz Yoga Lifestyle – a holistic Yoga class – posture, breath.  Learn how to move with ease, breathe with ease.

Rural Hall, Doune on Wednesdays from 4th May, at 11.00-12.00.

Doune Tunes – an informal singing group which meets weekly under the guidance of Robin Chapman Campbell, email hasluck1@yahoo.co.uk

Ukulele Club – a brand new, enthusiastic group.  Experience unnecessary.  They are always looking for new members and welcome complete beginners.  They also offer the opportunity to borrow an instrument to try it out.  Wednesday evenings in the Rural Hall.  Contact Joe Gilmour  –  joegilmour@hotmail.com

Kilmadock Krafters – meet on Wednesdays, in Kilmadock Parish Church at 14.00-16.00 pm.  All welcome irrespective of skill level (or lack of it).

Craft ‘n Chat   (click for more info)  Deanston Community Centre – last Saturday of the month, 10.30-4.30

Faith, Fun and Friendship – The 3F group is for local ladies, who meet monthly at 7.30pm in the Church of Scotland, Balkerach St, Doune.  All are welcome, no booking required.  A suggested donation of £3 covers the cost of speaker, teas and biscuits.  More information from Alison 07810 628 512.

Doune Curling Club – The Doune curlers are back in business after an enforced break.  This is a small club which welcomes new members, whether experienced or beginner.  Contact us by emailing  Dounecurlingclub@gmail.com

Bridge Club – meets in the Bowling Clubhouse on Wednesdays at 6.30 for 6.45 pm.  We are a small friendly club, meeting weekly to play bridge.  We would really like to increase our membership, and invite new players of intermediate standard, and beginners who have mastered the basics of the game, to join us.  Contact Anne Connell, tel  07850 428626.
