Doune Ponds Easter Egg Hunt
Come along to Doune Ponds and take part in our Easter Egg Hunt. Clue sheets will be available on our Facebook page or from Doune Information Centre. Dates/times to be advised.
Have fun and Happy Easter when it comes! DCWG

Doune Gala
The Doune Gala takes place in June each year and is a fantastic week of events for all the family. The 2020 Gala was one of the few events anywhere to go ahead despite Covid-19, albeit in a highly modified format. Congratulations to the organising committee!
See separate Gala Page for this year’s plans – also the FB page at More Info below.
Deanston Family Funday
This event is normally held in late June at the old bowling green in Deanston. There is plenty to keep everyone entertained, including: raffle and tombola, craft stalls, face painting, little critters, inflatables, delicious home baking in the tea room and ice cream! This event is also free entry.
Senior Citizens Summer Outing
Organised by the Grosset Fair Committee, who raise the funds for it, this is typically a bus outing.
Doune and Dunblane Show
This a one day local agricultural show, held annually on the first Saturday of July. It is a relaxing and fun-filled family day out to experience Scottish rural life at its best.

Doune the Rabbit Hole
This annual music festival is technically not in the area covered by this web-site, but because of the name is included here. It occurs annually in July at Cardross Estate, Port of Menteith, approximately 13 miles from Doune and Deanston.
Doune Ponds Family Fun Day
A Family Fun Day is held in August/September time. There are lots of fun activites including welly whanging, coconut shy, storytelling, willow weaving, bug identification, dog agility and not forgetting delicious home baking and hot drinks.
This is a free event, but donations are welcome and go towards the upkeep of Doune Ponds.

Kilmadock Christmas Fayre
This event is usually held on the first Friday in December. Music, stalls with wonderful Christmas gift ideas, street entertainment and more, not forgetting Santa.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Christmas Fayre did not take place in 2020 and 2021, but watch this space!

Senior Citizens Christmas Meal
This normally took place in December, however due to COVID-19 the usual evening of festivities didn’t take place in 2020/2021.
