Child-friendly Activities
Pick and mix from the categories below, depending on the ages of the children
Toddler, Pre-school (Buggy-friendly)
- Doune Ponds – take food for ducks & swans (please no bread, fires or paddling), picnic, pond-dipping (bring net and small bucket)
- Moray Park – play area, picnic
- Briarlands Farm – indoor play area for toddlers – cafe
- Soft play – Dobbies or McLaren Leisure
- Walk down past the Castle (if the weather is warm take a change of clothes for toddlers) – there are a couple of places along the river where it is safe to paddle, however there can be quite a strong current if there has been a lot of rain, so be careful!)
Primary Age

- Old railway line (starts at far side of Moray Park) – a safe place to ride a bike or scooter
- Doune Ponds – as for Toddlers above, plus explore North Pond trail (not really suitable for buggies)
- Moray Park – play area, picnic
- Woods above Commonty Walk or beyond Allotments – explore, play hide and seek, build a den
- Briarlands Farm – outdoor play areas and activities
- Blair Drummond Safari Park
- Dobbies Garden Centre
- swimming at the McLaren Centre or The Peak
Older children
- Blair Drummond Safari Park
- Doune Castle
- Tennis, football – Moray Park (take own racquets, balls)
- Any of the adult options
