Doune & Deanston Youth Project is looking to recruit a General Manager. This comes at an exciting time for the charity as we prepare to move into our new flagship building. Reporting to the charity’s Executive Committee, this is a part-time role of 15 hours per week with a salary of £35,000 pro-rata. This is a one-year fixed term contract, made possible with grant support of the National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All programme. Continuation of the role will be dependent on future funding.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide leadership for the charity, implementing policies and processes for reporting and financial forecasting.
  • Co-ordinate the existing and new activities to maximise use of the building to work towards financial sustainability for the future.
  • Be aware of legislation around safeguarding and youth work.
  • Ensure legal compliance is in place for both premises and all activities.
  • Be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of fundraising.
  • Promote new uses for the building within the community, overseeing bookings and undertake keyholder duties.
  • Provide line-management for session workers and volunteers and provide hands-on support when required.
